Don't like your Profile settings? Change it! 
Some Info about your Profile settings ...
Registration Information
You should Never have to touch your Username - E-mail address - Password fields.
Only alter this area IF you want to change your password or your e-mail address!!!
Profile Information
This area is fairly self explanatory.
If you need some help in this area, just e-mail myself or Hook.
Some help with your Signature.
Your signature CAN be left blank but it is kind of nice to have.
It can be just simply your name like: John or John D. or John Doe.

Preferences
Basically, Everything SHOULD be set to
YES Except for: "Hide your online status" or maybe "Always notify me of replies" (see below)
Always show my e-mail address:
YES - The "yes" setting does NOT show your e-mail address to anyone!
It merely ALLOWS other Members to be able to e-mail you by hitting the E-Mail Button!
Again - does NOT show your e-mail address to anyone!
Please set this one to YES!!!
Hide your online status: This should be set to NO! (unless you are the sneaky type)
It merely lets Other Members (that are logged in themselves) know you are logged in -
nothing else!
Always notify me of replies: YES - Sends an e-mail to you when someone replies to a topic YOU have posted. This can be changed whenever you post during the posting process. (or leave as "No" - Not a biggy)
Notify on new Private Message: YES - Sends an e-mail to you when someone PM's you.
Pop up window on new Private Message: YES - Some templates may open a new window to inform you when new private messages arrives when you are logged in.
(the following Should ALL be set to YES)
Always attach my signature: YES
Always allow BBCode: - YES
Always allow HTML: - YES
Always enable Smilies: - YES
Board Language: English!!! -(as best you can LOL)
Board Style: The Default is "blueGrey"(may be different) - You can change this to any style that is in the drop down menu here. The "Default" style will show until you log in. Then when you Login, the style you pick here in your Profile will show.
Timezone: GMT - 5 or 6 Hours - This you will have to play with because of the new Daylight Savings changes! (we keep the forum default time to OUR time here)
Date format: D M d, Y g:i a - The syntax used is identical to the PHP date() function. (Click on "date()" for explanation when in your profile)
Avatar Control Panel (see also "HOW TO ... Change Your Avatar")
Go under your
PROFILE at the Top of the page.
Then go down to
AVATAR CONTROL PANEL.
You have 3 choices ...
1 - Upload an Avatar from YOUR Machine. <-(
BEST way - easy - just click on the Browse Button))
2 - Upload an Avatar from a URL. <-(Second best way)
3 - Link to an Off-Site Avatar. <-(Undesirable way! - links can change)
Pick the way you like best.
The Avatar you pick in your profile will show up in this forum each time you Login.
After you are done making any changes in your Profile ...
Scroll down and Click on
SUBMIT to make your changes happen.
That is all there is to it!
