oohh it looks fine ! but........... it gets my new and improved rig's frame rates lower than any ut2k4 or ut3 map has !
I mean were talking it brought my card to its knees !! 12 FPS !!! and were talking a 9600 GT 512 oc and oc'ed !!
So yea some constructive crit will help him out , not to hurt his feelings! I'd imagine
that the cap'n needs some truth in feedback, I get that all the time doing what I do,( cooking) and to get better
you have to take the good and the bad feedaback, not every idea that I've come up with will be
loved by all !! LMAO I wish

First of all, I Thank you all very much for the feedback on this map!
OK, it sounds as though we all have the same problem(s) with this newest version of DeathValleyUtah.
Being that it messes up even your new super comps and cards just as much as my old card from 2000, it must be something wrong in the map! (and I don't mean too many polys)
I have some suspicions as to what may be wrong with her.
It has to do with the lights and/or the sheets or both I believe!
I will work on it some more to iron out these problems.
(I have kept all the old versions in case I need to go back)
PS: Did any of you find ALL the secret rooms? (and hallways?)
Oh, Shadow342, in this case I cannot "zone" this map as is normally done in maps because of it being a large outdoor type of map.
The large sheets needed would hurt performance more than help.
I MAY try to zone the caves, but it may not help them.
That is a good suggestion though! Thanks! _________________ {xCBx}Hook (Site Administrator)

Worked on it some more, but things are still jittery!
I may have to release an earlier version for now anyway.
I have a few more ideas to try though!

OK, I am PLANNING on Finalizing DM-DeathValleyUtah this week!
I know you heard this before, but I really want to wind up the Large version very soon!
My grandson and I were playing it today on MY UT Server and we like what it is at this point.
So, I am going to put the finishing touches on her and Launch it out into the UT99 world!

OK, OK, I am a little behind but I just have a couple of small things to do and it'll be released! (for real)
I worked for about 3 hours on her today!
I just need to add the preview screen shot & a few more pick-ups is all and she's done!
She runs pretty well for a massive map and she's got a lot of knooks and crannies to hide!
Tons of places to go and lots of caves and tunnels.
DM-DeathValleyUtah is just about there! _________________ {xCBx}Hook (Site Administrator)
