Most new games today such as Gears of War 2, UT 3, Call of Duty 4, the list could go on.. All use a new type of texture called DDS3. "Direct Draw Surface 3" which is a beautiful texture that would make any old game like ut99 seem more like ut3. Yet there is NO system out there that supports DDS format!! (Since ut2004 supports some DDS textures, exceptions can be made.) If ut99 supported this, there would probably be a LOT more people on there, since people usually go to high-end graphic games.
