We should probably make a clan Thread, for people who want to join, and to talk about clan events.
We should have people who want to join have to sign up on the forum, and have them fill out something like this:

UT Name

Fav Gametype

Why u want to join

u know blah blah we should have a Thread for that stuff.
I mention this because Fu||gor3(fullgore) wanted to join our clan, but the only thing i could say was to join the forums.
we should have something where the people who are already in the clan decide if somebody else can be in!

anybody else like this idea? Question

i would be more than happy to moderate this Thread too! Wink

My clan has a voting process that last five days in order to take on a new member. Within those five days, the person must have 2/3 of the votes yes in order to join. The thing is, with my clan, they look for personality and how well you get a long with the members. It's not really about how much skill you have in the game, it's how much you contribute to the forums. meet new members, and all of that stuff. Heck, it took me a year to get in! I really like the clan I'm in right now because everyone is really close, and they're really picky who gets in.

Here's what one of the clan members wrote: You must understand that the Monsters are, first and foremost, a close-knit group of friends, and primarily adults. You won't be granted a tag just because you show up on one of our servers and ask for it. The process takes time; far longer than our 5-day voting process. In fact, months is the norm, not days.

If you're interested in joining the Monsters of Zark, then play on our servers often, post on our forum, and join us on TeamSpeak if you can. Get to know the members, and let them get to know you. While we value gaming talent (we think we've got some pretty awesome players here), keep in mind that we consider ourselves virtual neighbors, and we're picky about who lives in our virtual neighborhood. We don't have tryouts per se; the time you spend getting to know us, and vice-versa, is your tryout.

There's basically nothing for you the gamer to do. Letting a member or two know you've got an interest in membership is fine, but pestering members for sponsorship is unwelcome and will only hurt your chances of ultimately becoming a member. When the time comes and the membership decides to bring you aboard, an invitation will be extended to you.

Just thought I'd show this to you guys since you guys seem to just be lifting off with gaining new members and getting your servers going. This is just an idea on how to obtain your new members.

Thank you DJ this is exactly what I want for a clan.
btw if we do set this up (if hooks ever says anything lol) we will start the clan over again, nobody will be on it yet, we will chose as a group who would be on it.
We would make new people fill out the forms, and old people (such as me, X, death, shadow, hook, etc) fill out the forms first to show how its done, and to make it official that we are on the clan!

anybody like this idea?

Plus i want to start over so we have an exact list of who is in the clan, i dont want anybody sneaking in and saying they were on the clan before we started this! Cool

any thoughts?

Also, this is somewhat a re-birth of an old site - we have been online since 8/11/2001 - FYI.
We used to have servers way back when!

Also, the private forums are here for Staff but we can add for clans as well.

I agree with boss on this one. But this does not really effect me since i am too lazy to put the clan tag on anywho! Very Happy

YEa its a good idea so we know exactly who is in and who is out. Also i think those who are in should be able to vote on these people because there are some i know I and maybe some of you others would not want in the clan

yes X i do, but right now we shouldnt exclude anybody, shadow u should know who were talking about lemme give u a hint its a SHE!
Funniest thing is she change from her insta clan to the house of fools clan (HOF) and now since i let her back on she doesnt have a clan lol if she does decide, i will let you guys decided if she should be, anyhow hook does this sound like something we can make happen?

Oh of course Hook!
not everybody would join the clan, and what i was thinking was just making a topic( like the ut mapper or the poop deck)
that was private to clan members only, then making a new group for the clan members (like the mod group, or the mapper group) and only letting clan members in, and u know testerguy and deimonred and all of the moderators and ppl u want! Wink

but then again this isnt my forum and i dont want to sound like im taking over Shocked

This is all up to u hook Wink
