Looks like a good project but I got too many maps that I need to finish right now.
I would definitely want to see YOU do this!

I would say give it some time - at least a month or so.

OK - Let's get this going!

First of all...

Time Span - One month (or so)
This would allow some time for us to get some other mappers involved! :wink:

(Don't let it out until we get the details down pat!)

We also need a "reward" for this.
Reward/Prize - Permanent placing on CMM for sure (and any OTHER Servers I can get them on)

Map Type - DM or DeathMatch

Size - Medium to Large (Large preferred - Large as in space to play not file size)

We can also put them ALL (the submitted maps) on a server just for evaluation!
This map should be cool!

Just a thought -
We wanted to do something here for the 10th Anniversary of UT.
Maybe - Should we change the theme of this map contest to the 10th Anniversary map?
Thoughts???
OR - Should we do that as a SEPARATE project!

I am also thinking along the lines of featuring good parts of many of the good stock maps all in one 10th Anniversary DM map.
I gotta do some experimenting!

I'll be compiling the Map Specifications very soon.
At that time, we can then advertise it (the "contest") around.
We want a great UT 10th Anniversary map!

PS: I have some names for this map in mind but I want to hear some suggestions from the group.
(I want this to be a very special name that "means" UT's 10th Anniversary!!!)

Well as long as we have only ONE "Crossbones" server going, we'll just have {CMM} in Front of our names when we play online.
IF more servers come into the "Crossbones" ring, then we'll do something different. :wink:

as hook said he will be the last UT99 server / site on the web when that happens and i get my daughter and her friends into it we will have a new generation on HUTP and to help boos with the poop deck XD :lol:

I really wish he would, but he doesn't go in for forums.

He does watch CMM as he will usually pop in when I play.

PS: he usually plays with a different name most every time.
