As some of you may know I run Chris's Crime Forum.I had a tough time trying to decide what I could write an article about here.My directory listing here at Hooks directory does not exactly sound "Exciting". But right beside having fun in everyday life there comes reality,and sometimes it hits us hard right in the face.Back in April I had done a blog on a sad story that happened here in Canada,it makes a person think really hard about the lengths we would go to in order to protect our children.Now I hope everyone realizes I am not an author or published writer,but when I do write or blog it comes from the heart.

He was an award winning bodybuilder,the pride of his friends and family.To be a bodybuilder you have to have great self control.Hours are spent training,preparing your physique to outdo the others.James Hayward was a bodybuilder,he was also a drug dealer.Living in a city of only 17,000,the people of Yorkton ,Saskatchewan is a place where everyone knows everyone.

It is not known why James one day give up on the bodybuilding, and decided to take on being a drug dealer as a new career.Sadly no one will ever know the answers.In the last few months of his life James took to shooting morphine.He sold marijuana to make ends meet,and most likely to pay for his heightening addiction.Somewhere along this ride he acquired a 16 year old girlfriend.

Jadah Walker was a well behaved girl.Having a 15 year old going on 30 myself,it is a day by day process.Our sweet little girls go from calling you mommy one day to your first name the next.They crave the independance of an adult,they just haven't acquired the knowledge on how to act as one yet.According to Jadah's parents her personality took a turn for the worse,making home life difficult.On one such occasion after a large fight her parents made the decision to kick her out.A decision which in the end proved fateful for all involved.

Jadah run straight into the arms of her 24 year old boyfriend.Pretty soon their daily life consisted of shooting morphine together.The addiction was so bad they were shooting it 10-12 times a day.Morphine a narcotic,directly affects the nervous system.Besides relieving pain morphine effects impair mental and physical performance,relieves fear and anxiety,and produces euphoria.Over time the body becomes tolerant and larger doses are needed to achieve said effects.

Jadah's parents did not know about her addiction until they received a letter one day."Your daughter is killing herself by injecting morphine. "The Walkers approached their daughter several times begging her to come home or to seek help.All to no avail.They finally took matters into their own hands and had her committed,72 hours later she walked away free back into Haywards arms.

That same morning her father Kim Walker went home in a daze.He went into his basement and loaded his 9mm,putting two extra magazines into his pocket.He drove over to Haywards home,pushing his way in the front door.Without a word he lifted the gun and began firing.10 shots were fired,5 striking Hayward fatally.Jadah lay on the floor sobbing and holding her dying boyfriend in her arms.

3 years later Walker is in court facing the consequences of his vigilantism.He was convicted of second degree murder,the jury recommending parole after 10 years.The once defiant girl whom is now a 20 year old young woman,cries for her father,her hero."My father saved my life,I regret ever meeting James Hayward,he ruined my life and my families life."

Maybe James Hayward's sister said it the best:
"Perhaps they both could have been saved,but no one was given the opportunity to save James.Instead Mr.Walker decided he was already out of options and chose to kill James."
