Yes i,ve tried googling it(bigtime). The killingfield map i,m referring to is much better than,dm-killingfields,which has a wide open area in and around the middle of the map.Pot-killingfields or return to the killingfields,(not sure which one,but both are better),have the same design as dm-killinfields,but also have a bunch of small to medium sized bunkers scattered all around ,and there are also some passageways where you would encounter fragging in close quarters. This map used to be on "TUC" sniperclan maps. They use to be around a little while ago,and it was mostly a camping server, but thats where i first played the map If anyone can just send me a link or both maps that,d be great, and i,ll never lose them again I,ve searched on filefront, unreal playground, utpad, and here.I know the authors name is david brown.I even emailed him,but who knows if he even checks his hotmail account anymore. He made all the killingfield maps and some other good sniper maps. Thanks for the respnses though

Tempester, Have you tried getting them out of your "cache"??? Apps like UT Cache Converter (Name?) can convert DL'd maps that you played online into maps that you have in your maps folder. Is you Cache still intact?

Thanks paradox, and all,for the advice Great site paradox ,but guess what...It didnt have the dm versions of any of those killingfield maps. The ctf version, and TDM version are being looked at right now,and i,ll let you know if they will do,but i have been under the impression for years that these maps had dm versions. We,ll see what happens.Trust me ,these are great maps for dm run and gun or sniper camper! As for a cache cleaner, ive been using utcacheV2 for years. The killingfield maps were on ut servers in early part of the decade, when sniper clans like TUC,and TKK(their old name from back then),and TUS,POT,and SUF were active.I,m not sure but i think TKK may still be active. The other issue is that if i was to find a sniper server that has the actual map, then i would be able to play it offline, but i would need in addition to the .unr file, the other files for the map so it could be used on a different server. It would have to be just like downloading a map from a site, and then putting utx,u,umx files etc in the proper ut dirs.I dont think it would work on a server if i only had the unr file.In fact i,m sure of it. If anyone wants ,here is the cache cleaner i use http://rapidshare.de/files/48374771/UTCache2.umod.html I,ll give you an example of what i,m talking about.I found what i thought was DM-POT-Killingfields on "unreal playground" i think:),but when i loaded the unr file into my ut-maps dir i got an error message"Cant find file for package journey".If anyone thinks they can figure out what this map looks like i,ll be interested to know because in my ut where you see a preview of the maps you have in a practice session deathmatch, all i see is darkness. http://rapidshare.de/files/48374792/DM- ... _.txt.htmlThanks again guys

Your Cache Cleaner SHOULD put ALL of the needed files into the proper folders! If it doesn't, than your either set it wrong OR you cleaned out your system folder since you DownLoaded the map (and files to go with it) from the server! IF you have CTF maps, etc., of those - I can convert them to DM - as a last resort!

Yes captain,my cache cleaner puts all the files into the proper folders.I should have mentioned that since i,ve been using utcacheV2,i haven,t had the killingfields map i,m now looking for.Right now i do have DM-Killingfields,but its a boring map compared to the one\s i would like. That would be great if you could convert POT-Killingfields,and DM-Returntothekillingfields to DM I wish i had some sceenshots of the maps i,m talking about, then you may all want them for yourselves as well Then again, too much hype can be a bad thing. Paradox,i haven,t found any texture files for those maps anywhere. So far the ut-files site has provided the closest resemblance to what i,m looking for but i havent had a chance to try them.I,m about to right now so i,ll let you know.I remember seeing these maps a few years ago,and i figured they would always be around because most of the sniper servers were using them.I wonder if it could be because they were designed for whatever server was running them at the time.I mean whats the point of playing it offline when you can go to your fav.. sniper server and play it practically everyday But that was then....

OK - can we LIST the files we need for these maps? I have a zillion textures but I don't know which one(s) I am looking for. Also, can we post the URLS for downloading these maps that we know where they are? OR, better yet - UPLOAD them HERE!

Hi hook.I didnt realize i was posting my reply in the "poop deck". Anyway, the map plays fine, and it is a better version than DM-Killingfields which is way more dark. That map killingfields also sux,in my opinion because its dark around the edges, and light in the center area, and noone can ever go there.i think you should be able to go to any place on a map,and have a decent chance to kill someone. The hiding places in the dark areas aren`t that good. Now here`s a trip.Would you believe that the version ,DM-ReturnToTheKillingfields,that you so brilliantly found, has another even better variation of it.I believe its the same name ,with different initials at the end,but i,m not sure what. That variation is one level, with many bunkers, large ,and small, and small passageways on each of the four corners, for crouching, stealth, and run and gun areas, whenever you are found,or find someone.I,ll look for it,if only to find the correct name.Dont get me wrong though. The map you found is great, but this one is the best of the ,what looks like, three variations. The hiding spots are numerous, and tough to penetrate. You can kill people thru tiny windows in the bunkers, and you are constantly scoping, zooming the bunkers for someone who moves to close to a window, and its just dark enough to make it challenging enough.I have to find it:) Never thought i,d ever play the one you found again!
